2012 Seminar Schedule
Open date: Snow Shoot at
Bonneyville Mills.
Join Danny Graber and learn how to get the absolute best
exposure to make snow look like snow. There is a secret.
If you are interested, enroll now. Danny will announce
the date for either a Sat. a.m. or Sunday p.m. as soon
as there is an adequate snowfall. This could be any
weekend in Jan or Feb. If you enroll now but discover
you cannot attend, you will not have to pay.
Jan 21 - Beginning DSLR camera - Learn how to get
correct exposure by using your camera's built in
histogram, learn how to properly focus, how to change
your shutter speed, and how to change your f/stop. Learn
the finer details of how to set your camera for
different scenes and settings. DSLR required, no
point-and-shoot.
Feb 18 - Digital Black and White Photography - Black and
White photos are a unique art form. Learn how to take a
color photograph from your camera and convert it to
black and white. This will be demonstrated on both
Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. Optional, bring you
laptop with PS or PSE.
March 17 - Flash Photography and Studio Lighting - This
class is for people who have a flash other than their
camera built in flash. In other words, you have a flash
that mounts on top of your camera. Learn the techniques
of how to get rid of harsh shadows, using window light
along with a flash, and bounce flash. See a quick
demonstration of studio lighting. Optional: Bring camera
with external flash.
April 21 - Composition - Learn the fine art of
composition that will give your prints more potential in
winning awards, or just simply, make them so people like
to look at them.
May 19 - Photographers Guild's Photo Expedition/Photo
Shoot - (Free, but you must enroll at least three weeks
in advance) Location is still being determined. We are
working on giving participants two options of a one-day
or two-day trip, both at same destination.
June 16 - No Seminar, but … Pumpkinvine Bike Ride at
Abshire Park in Goshen - This is not an official seminar
but we invite you to come to the ride to take
photographs or, better yet, bring your bicycle and ride
(there is a registration fee for riding in the ride).
The absolute best you can do is bring your camera AND
bicycle! Contact Danny Graber for more information.
